Obesity and overweight in Kenya is currently approaching 50 % among the urban population. 29% of all children in Nairobi’s private schools, and 22% of preschool children in urban areas are overweight and obese. Obesity leads to more than 65 different diseases, and is a leading cause of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart diseases, atherosclerosis etc. After effective weight loss Hypertension is resolved in almost 70% and Diabetes in approximately 90% of all patients.
